Significance

located on Cuiyan Mountain in Taihe District, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, about 16 kilometers east of Jinzhou city center. It is situated near the north side of the Jinzhou-Chaoyang Highway and adjacent to the famous Cuiyan Mountain Temple. Built in the 7th year of the Zhengtong era (1442) during the Ming Dynasty, the watchtower is a solid square structure made of blue bricks. It stands 9 meters tall, with a base width of 9.7 meters and a top width of 9 meters. The walls taper inward as they rise, and the flat roof lacks battlements. The structure features a "stretcher and header" brick-laying method, with tightly packed blue bricks inside. The foundation consists of three layers of granite slabs, and each wall has ventilation openings at the base.
