Xi'an People's Theater
Xi'an, Shaanxi, China
The Xi'an People's Theater, located on Beida Jie near the Bell Tower in Xi'an, China, is a significant cultural landmark and a prime example of 20th-century Chinese architectural heritage. Established in 1954, the theater was initially built to house the Northwest Art Work Troupe. It holds the distinction of being the first modern theater in northwest China. The theater's design, a blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles, gained international recognition and was featured in the UK-published "World Architecture History" as one of 37 notable buildings constructed in China during the 1950s.
