- On the afternoon of September 14th, it was sunny and extremely hot. Right across from Anyuan Gate stands the headquarters building of a construction enterprise. Though it’s a grand office building from half a century ago, designed quite beautifully by the standards of that time, it has been adorned with many decorative elements of traditional Chinese architecture, such as the roof and eaves.
