- On the afternoon of September 13, clear skies. A landmark Tang Dynasty pagoda, shaped like a wooden club—slightly thicker in the middle. The place was bustling with visitors. Just past noon, it had already reached full capacity and stopped admitting new guests, so we didn't manage to get in.
