Qingfeng Pagoda is one of five extant square pagodas from the Liao period in Liaoning Province. It was first built in the 8th year of the Tonghe era (990 AD) under Emperor Shengzong of Liao, serving as a Vajra (Diamond) Esoteric Buddhist pagoda of the Liao Dynasty. Constructed of brick in a square, hollow, thirteen-story dense-eave style, the pagoda features a projecting chamber on its southern side.
