- To reach the Huanghuatan Pagoda, one must pass through an entire village. Along the way, parts of the pagoda intermittently come into view on our left or right, partially obscured by the village buildings. Finally, after a turn in the path, the pagoda suddenly appears before us in its full glory, catching us completely by surprise.
