The architectural style combines the characteristics of Islamic architecture from different regions: it is both Moorish, reflecting the influence of Arab Islamic architecture, and Saracen, reflecting the architectural style of Indian Muslims. Most notably, the bases of the domes are inlaid with glass bottle caps donated collectively by poor Muslims during construction.
