Significance
Beizhen, historically known as Guangning City, was first established during the Liao Dynasty and later expanded in the Ming Dynasty, during which its central axis was also repositioned. The ancient city stretches approximately 2 kilometers from north to south and about 1.6 kilometers from east to west, with portions of its original city walls still preserved.
