Significance
The Yokohama Specie Bank, Mukden Branch, completed in 1925. Until 1945, this bank executed the imperialist expansion and aggression policies of Japan. After the "September 18 Incident," Japanese banks, including the Yokohama Specie Bank under Japanese military control, issued 354 billion currency with a capital of 240 million, engaging in economic aggression against China. In 1944, after the Japanese Kwantung Army shifted military funding to local sources, this bank became a special institution for the Japanese government to plunder wealth from Shenyang and the entire Northeast to finance military expenses. In 1945, the Yokohama Specie Bank, Mukden Branch was dissolved.
