The Qibaoshan Highway Checkpoint in Shanggao County is a checkpoint located on the highway leading from Shanggao County town to Qibaoshan. It was likely built around the same period as the Qibaoshan Mine. During the 1960s, when construction conditions were relatively scarce, this mountain checkpoint exhibited an exceptionally high level of aesthetic design. Soviet-style and traditional Chinese architectural elements are perfectly integrated on the lintel of this checkpoint, making it a masterpiece.
