Located in the vibrant Castro District of San Francisco, the Pink Triangle Park and Memorial is a poignant tribute to the thousands of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals persecuted during the Nazi regime. This small, yet powerful, memorial features 15 triangular granite pylons arranged in a larger triangle, symbolizing the pink triangles that Nazi victims were forced to wear. Dedicated on Human Rights Day in 2001, it serves as a reminder of the atrocities faced by these communities and stands as a beacon of remembrance and solidarity in one of America's most iconic LGBTQ neighborhoods.
