- October 26, 2025, morning, overcast. The ancestral temple of Mencius, the second sage of Confucianism. There are simply too many trees within the Mencius Mansion, so many, so many, densely packed that they almost completely obscure the buildings—even the rooftops. This is the result of pushing the concept of ancient Chinese architecture and gardens to its extreme. The model is of the Mencius Mansion complex and the Mencius Temple complex, which are adjacent to each other. The model should separate them into two parts, with the longer and narrower one being the Mencius Temple.
