On the afternoon of September 21st, it was overcast. This Taoist temple is located on the border between Shaanxi and Shanxi, perched on the cliffs along the western bank of the Yellow River. A convenient winding mountain road leads up to the temple. The temple itself is a conventional complex of religious buildings, with thriving incense offerings, but the scenery of Baiyun Mountain is truly magnificent, greatly enhancing the temple's appeal. Majestic landscapes add to the sanctity of religious sites, making them even more compelling.
