Giant Strawberry
Ponchatoula, Louisiana, United States of America
The Giant Strawberry in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, is a 10-foot-tall fiberglass sculpture unveiled in April 2018 during the town's annual Strawberry Festival. Initiated by the mayor's wife and a local restaurant owner inspired by a similar structure in Germany, the project was funded by local businesses. Designed by movie prop builder Valek Sykes, the strawberry is strategically sized for optimal photo opportunities. Located downtown across from city hall, it symbolizes Ponchatoula's identity as the "Strawberry Capital of Louisiana."
