The Bedesten Bazaar in Edirne, Turkey, is a significant historical and commercial landmark. It is the oldest of the city's covered bazaars, with its construction dating back to 1417-1418. Commissioned by Sultan Mehmed I, the bazaar was intended to generate income for the nearby Old Mosque (Eski Cami) as part of a religious foundation (vakıf).
