Hengshui High School, often referred to as "Hengzhong," is a public high school located in Hengshui, Hebei Province, China. Established in 1951, it has become one of the most well-known and controversial educational institutions in the country. The school's rise to national prominence began in the early 1990s when it implemented a series of reforms focused on extreme discipline and intensive preparation for the National College Entrance Examination. This approach led to a dramatic increase in its students' university admission rates, particularly to China's top universities.
