The Suomai Bridge, also known as the Seven Star Bridge, represents a unique alignment. Six other ancient bridges in the Dayan water network span east-west. This single-arch stone structure runs north-south to cross a curving bend in the river. It measures 10.9 meters long and 4.02 meters wide, with a 2.4-meter span. Underfoot, the stone slabs are laid horizontally. Bench-like stone railings line the sides, inviting travelers to rest above the water that once flowed directly into a pond inside the temple grounds.

Human hands have repeatedly reshaped this sanctuary. After military conflicts in the late Qing Dynasty destroyed the original temple five li outside the south gate, local villagers rebuilt it. High on the main ridge beam of the wooden Main Hall, a preserved ink inscription marks their labor: "Rebuilt in the Huangzhong month of the 7th year of the Guangxu reign," corresponding to late 1881. Villagers gathered again in 1887 to continue the reconstruction, leaving behind steles that honor local figures like Yang Yuke and Guan Xuexuan.

Today, the monastery is a protected monument and a daily gathering space for Lower Eight-River Village. It stands as a physical anchor of the "Yuhe Galaxy," where cosmic design meets the practical rhythms of village life.
