Chinese Buddhist Art Gallery 206
Gallery 206 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art brings monumental Chinese Buddhist painting and sculpture together across several historical periods. The early-fourteenth-century Medicine Buddha mural came from Lower Guangsheng Monastery in Shanxi; both the mural and the gallery’s imperial procession relief have companion works at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
