The Qingzhou White Pagoda, standing by the Chagan Muren River, is a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture from the Liao Dynasty. It was originally built to enshrine the relics of Sakyamuni Buddha. With its jade-white pagoda body, the exquisite carvings vividly reflect the fusion of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, and primitive Shamanism during the Liao Empire.
