Huizhou Kangdi International Hotel

Situated at the exact point where the Dongjiang River meets the historic Huizhou West Lake, the Huizhou Kangdi International Hotel anchors the city’s urban landscape. Opened in 2005 and comprehensively renovated in 2019, the 28-story structure serves as a modern threshold between Huizhou’s commercial present and its ancient past.

The exterior features expansive glass curtain walls that reflect the shifting light of the lake and the city skyline. This transparent facade draws the natural landscape into the interior spaces, allowing the 468 guest rooms to offer uninterrupted views of either the river currents or the serene lake waters. The property incorporates distinct tropical design elements to soften its massive scale. A 1,900-square-meter outdoor swimming pool occupies a sprawling terrace, accompanied by a glass-house chapel that adds a quiet, sculptural presence to the grounds.

As Huizhou’s first officially designated five-star hotel, the Kangdi has hosted heads of state and business leaders, functioning as the city’s premier gathering space. Its location immediately south of the Chaojing Gate Ancient Building Park places guests within walking distance of centuries-old heritage sites. The building stands as a prominent landmark, seamlessly linking the natural beauty of a national scenic area with the daily commerce of a modern metropolis.
