Huizhou Jindi Spa Commercial Building
Huizhou, Guangdong, China
Situated just northeast of the Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area, the Jindi Spa Commercial Building stands as a modern sanctuary of urban leisure. For over fourteen years, this massive complex at No. 21 Huancheng West 1st Road has operated continuously, evolving alongside the city itself.
The structure encompasses more than 10,000 square meters across six floors. Inside, the architecture creates a self-contained world. The layout follows a continuous, looping design—often described by visitors as resembling the Chinese character 'hui'—which guides patrons through a seemingly endless succession of rooms and corridors. The lower levels house expansive wet zones dedicated to traditional bathing, saunas, and sweat baths. As visitors ascend, the environment shifts toward comprehensive recreation. The upper floors function as an all-inclusive entertainment hub. Here, patrons find a buffet dining hall, a movie theater, a reading lounge, an internet cafe, and sports areas equipped for billiards and table tennis.
The Jindi Spa reflects a distinct era of Chinese commercial wellness culture. It began as a traditional bathhouse and steadily expanded its offerings to meet the changing desires of Huizhou’s residents. Today, it remains a highly active community fixture.
