The former site of the Qingdao branch of the Japan's Dalian Kisen Kaisha is a significant historical building located at 37 Guantao Road. Constructed between 1927 and 1928, this building stands as a testament to the architectural and historical landscape of early 20th-century Qingdao. The building exhibits a European style with Japanese-influenced decorative elements. Its design also incorporates the robust granite ornamentation characteristic of the German concession period in Qingdao. Originally a two-story structure, it has undergone several additions, with floors added in 1975 and 1995, transforming it into a five-story building.
